Wireless Linux
I repartitioned an old laptop's hard drive, and installed Debian in the new partition to see if I could setup wireless access, since Windows 98 non-SE doesn't support wireless. So far, I've got one of my wireless cards working -- the SMC2532W-B, using the host AP (Prism2) drivers. I'm still working on getting my Netgear WG511T working (using the MadWiFi driver for Atheros). I'm also working on getting WPA setup, since only WEP is available by default.
(Update: With the help of wpa supplicant, I was able to get WPA encryption working, so now I'm 100% wireless! At first, I had to turn the SSID broadcast back on for my router, but then I found that I could add the "scan_ssid=1" switch to the wpa_supplicant.conf network setup to have it scan for the SSID even without the broadcast. Anyway, I'm just happy to have it all up and running!)

While I'm talking about Linux configs, I recently picked up a 17" touchscreen CRT with an ELO interface, and it was pretty easy to setup with X using the manufacturer's instructions. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the monitor... I was thinking about maybe using it as part of a jukebox system, or part of the home automation. Any ideas are welcomed.

Well I came by...
...looking to see if you had anything new cooking with Home Automation, so that's my vote. Do something cool so I can copy you and be the envy of my friends. (well, just Chris, maybe).
