Today I picked up some items I won at a local online auction:
- QMS Magicolor 2 color laser printer
- Lexmark Optra T610 laser printer with 2 paper drawers
- (3) Digital VT-525 terminal boxes
- 5 staplers, 4 desk calendar bases, and 3 binders
*Update* -- The QMS (Konica-Minolta) Magicolor 2 is printing black, but I can't get it to print color (toner might be out?), and I can't get the network connection going. The Lexmark Optra T610 is working well, and prints WAAAAAYYYY faster than the HP LaserJet 4P we've been using. It also has a built in 100 Mbps network card and web administration, which is nice. I've only played with one of the terminals. Originally I couldn't get into the setup using an AT keyboard with a PS/2 adapter, but when I switched to a regular PS/2 keyboard it worked fine. Now I just need to figure out how to connect to my Linux box with it.
I'm not really sure why I'm posting all this. I guess I get excited about getting new things (well, new to me) for not a lot of money. Sorry if that bores anyone. Actually, let me know if it bores you, and maybe I'll do something about it. So there.
*Update 2* -- I got the Magicolor 2 to print color after I reset it to the factory defaults. I'm not sure what had been messed up in the settings, but it's working fine now. I couldn't figure out how to print through its TCP/IP interface, but it's working fine through my D-Link Print Server for now.
