2002 Nissan Sentra
Someone got to my site by searching for comments on a Nissan Sentra... so I figured I might as well make some, in case someone else suffers the same fate...

I don't really have anything to complaints about our Sentra. To be more specific, we have the GXE model, in Radium. The color hides dirt well - the car almost always looks washed. The stereo is quite adequate, even though we decided against the optional 7-speaker system. The car handles well when driven, and the 4 cylinder engine handles acceleration and hills just fine. The controls inside are well-located and easy to use. I feel comfortable driving long distances, and both front seats hold my 6'2" frame quite well. The rear seats are a little cramped... but I've never really sat back there much, so it hasn't bothered me. The mileage was a little weak while breaking in the engine, but once over the 2,000 mile mark we started getting in the mid-30's. The car was definitely a bargain.

Well, I know that's not an easy-to-read format, but you get the picture...

Connectivity Crisis
I've had an odd kind of problem the last couple of days with my Internet Connection in Windows 2000. I'll connect fine, and at an acceptable speed, but programs aren't hardly able to send data. It takes minutes to load a webpage, and my mail accounts time out.

I booted into my Windows 98 system on the same machine, and everything works wonderfully, so it can't be a hardware program. I hadn't installed any new programs that I can think of, and I've uninstalled anything I did in the past few days. I've tried just about everything I could think of, and I'm still perplexed. I've reinstalled the modem drivers multiple times, to no avail. Little help?

Car Update
I decided not to go with the Maxima... It was just too many miles for the price... plus I just didn't get a good feeling about it. And so my car search continues...

The Maxima returns?
I'm going tomorrow to look at a '96 Nissan Maxima SE. It has 130,000 miles on it, but it should last me the five years I'll need it for. Hopefully everything will work out with that, and I can bid fairwell to the trusty Camillac.

Job Update
I've been training for two weeks now, and sometime this week I'll be done with that and taking support calls myself. I like this job a whole lot better than my old one, and having regular hours really sweetens the deal.

Mike IS a Loser?
A comment two posts ago alerted me to the fact that for the search, "Mike is a loser", is the 77th search result from Google. That's pretty disappointing (although not surprising). I guess I'll just have to try a little harder to let the world know that Mike IS a loser. Actually, Mike is my #1 Loyal Fan apparently. So I guess that WOULD make him a loser. Hopefully I'll get the googlebot visiting soon... maybe I CAN hit that # 1 spot after all! (Mike is a loser)

Regular hours rock
Well, I found out at 3:20 PM (EST) today that I got accepted for the IT loan out. So that means I'll be working blessed regular hours! Monday through Friday, 9-5 (or so)! After working Monday-Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 11:30-8:15 PM for almost a year, it's a very welcome change. I start Monday and will be training for a couple of weeks, so I'm pretty excited about that.
