I'm still testing out PHP Nuke, and I'm currently only updating THERE. Hopefully, I'll have everything figured out and moved over soon, and I'll make that the default. Soon, my children, soon.

I've been working on setting up PHP Nuke, and I'm trying to decide whether to switch over or not. You can find the page HERE. I'm still working on getting it to look like I want, and I haven't really delved into the add-ons yet, but there is definitely some cool stuff going on with it. So check it out, yo.

Just in case you were wondering, my main PC still won't boot. Grrr. It's really annoying me. I was hoping (okay, dreaming) that I would come back from break and be able to boot it up... maybe all it needed was a rest? No such luck. So now I'll almost definitely have to replace my mobo or my RAM. Grrr * 10^9999999999999

I came back to school a few hours earlier than I had hoped, because I forgot to take my state tax stuff home to do over break. Whoops. Oh, and Ohio has this silly thing called a "Use" tax, where you get taxed to any items you buy tax free out of state. Real cute. So that's all purchases through mail order and over the internet. Again, real cute. Anyway, I got them done, and am getting a refund, so that's good. I also realized that I hadn't sent in my local tax stuff. Grrr. So I got that done too.

Netzero... I love thee, and yet I hate thee
|
|
|
Having a T3 connection at school, I don't find the need to pay for internet access... and so the dilemma when I'm home on break... and with that, enters NetZero. Since it's really the only free ISP around, it's what I use. And I appreciate not having to pay for the few hours a month I use it. But man, do I hate the banner... and the page that loads when you connect... and everything else about it. It's bad enough I have a 33.6 modem in this ol' laptop, but then having to load everything up with the P-120 and 48 MB RAM just about does it for the machine. Poor, poor, old laptop.

So yeah... I was kind of nervous going to a deaf church. But it was actually pretty cool. I'm glad I went... it was definitely a neat experience. Although most of the congregation was deaf, the pastor was hearing, and so interpreted the whole service. I picked up a bit of sign, but wish I would have known more. It was kind of weird to be the one who felt out of place, when usually the deaf person would... It was definitely a memorable experience, and I'm glad we made the hour trip to Akron...

Today was a beautiful day. heather and I went to Ryley's 2nd birthday party today... with the windows rolled down the whole way. Mmmm. I got some nice pictures on the way, and we had a nice time there with her family. Tomorrow we're planning on going to a deaf church, for her ASL class. I'm kind of nervous, since I don't really know ASL, but I can't do much about that right now, huh?

I got my new stick of RAM today... 128 MB of PC133 lovin'. I was pretty excited. I'm not excited anymore...
I went to install it next to my old RAM, and it wasn't detected at boot up. No big deal... so I figured I'd make sure the new RAM was good, and so took out my old stuff, and put the new stuff in its place... all of the sudden, all I get is a long beep whenever I boot up. No display, nothing. Just a long beep. Apparently, from what I've read, that means that there's something wrong with the RAM installed. Grrr. So, of course, I swapped out the new and put the old back in... but that didn't help. So now neither one works. I can't boot at all. And it's making me go crazy.

For the last couple of days, I've been listening to Air 1 Radio, streamed over the Internet. I would definitely recommend this station to anyone looking for online Christian radio. I like it.

It's a beautiful day today! Warm weather, sun's out, and no rain yet! Whoo-hoo! I wouldn't mind if it stayed like this for the whole year (okay, well maybe a tiny bit warmer...)

Yesterday I sent my resume to IMS in Washington D.C., and Current Directions in Painesville, OH. I received a call from IMS about 20 minutes after email them, but they quizzed me on a simple stats question (they program biomedical statistical software), and I got it wrong. Grrr.

I currently have use of the domain name djmjr.com, and have it redirecting to this site, but haven't really been using it much, since it's through NameZero, and they put a huge banner at the bottom of it. So I'm really considering putting down the $20 for them to put the domain name in my name, and get rid of the ad bar. That way I can renew it myself at the end of the year, and host the site myself if I have the bandwith. So does anyone think that's a good/bad idea?

TestPresentHomeworkProject

I just got back from MIS, where I had a project due, homework due, a presentation to perform, and an exam to take. Grrr. That's never fun. Anyway, all of them went fairly well, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much...

I had to use Frontpage on two separate occassions yesterday... it hurt. I kept switching to the HTML view to fix stuff. Grrr. And all the pages we built were super-crappy. Give me notepad over a wysiwyg editor anyday!

Windows 2000 Network speed up
|
|
|
This is very nice... I saw it in LockerGnome today. There's a very annoying delay when trying to browse Windows 95 or 98 computers on the (a) network, but this InfoWorld article tells you how to get rid of that. It's exponentially faster now. Mmmm...

I had a really nice weekend... Heather and I visited Abby at Malone on Friday, and then went to Kohl's and Target (to register for more wedding gifts), and ate at Fazoli's (mmm... Fazoli's...). We watched Phenomenon (starring John Travolta) that night.
Saturday we watched cartoons (X-men, Pokemon, and the Zeta Project), then went to the bank, Marc's, and the library. That night we visited our friends Pete and Mandy (who got married last summer) and had a really fun night hanging out with them.
Sunday (I guess that's today, huh?) we went to church in the morning and then ate at Subway. Then we went to visit my grandparent's in Sebring, and Abby came along later, so that was a nice visit. Then we went back to Heather's and visited with her mom and sister for a little. Fun stuff.
So yeah, it was a good weekend.
